Multimodal Music Emotion Recognition · AI & Creativity

About Me

I am a PhD researcher at the University of New South Wales, focusing on multimodal music emotion recognition using deep learning and natural language processing under the supervision of Prof. Erik Meijering and Dr. Aditya Joshi. I am part of the UNSW NLP and UNSW Computer Vision groups. My work explores how AI can understand and generate emotionally expressive music, bridging technology and human creativity. Additionally, I investigate the applications of music and AI in therapeutic contexts, studying how emotionally aware AI systems can support music therapy and enhance wellbeing. I am also a member of the UNSW STEMM Champions 2025 program, advocating for diversity and inclusivity in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine.
